Jerry Pullum was born in McAlester on October 17, 1949 and passed from this life into the loving hands of our Heavenly Father on September 17, 2016. Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend. Jerry was the son of Jim and Laura Faye (McCullar) Pullum. He was a graduate of McAlester High School Class of 1967, and University of Central Oklahoma Class of 1975. Jerry was a Vietnam War Veteran and served his country proudly. A pioneering businessman in the home healthcare industry, Jerry helped to build the largest non-profit home healthcare agency in the State of Oklahoma. Jerry will be best remembered for his great faith in Jesus Christ and working to reflect that faith every day of his life. He is preceded in death by his parents and survived by Shirley, his loving wife of 49 years, of Dallas, TX; son Jeffrey and daughter-in-law Nok Pullum of Fort Worth, TX; son Jeremy of Houston, TX; Grandchildren Hunter, Forrest, Joshua, and Abbiegail of Fort Worth TX; brother Michael Pullum of McAlester; brother David and sister-in-law Rhonda of Estero, FL; and several nephew and nieces. Jerry will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. The family would appreciate you considering donating blood to Oklahoma Blood Institute in Jerry's name. If it had not been for the generosity of blood donors, we would have not been able to have dad for the 8 additional years we had him.
