Jerry Allen Bierig was born February 19, 1940 at Okeene, Oklahoma to Walter W. and Mary Schwind Bierig. Jerry passed from this earth on Monday, March 28, 2016 at Enid, Oklahoma.
Jerry graduated from Okeene High School with the Class of 1958. He then attended Enid Business College. He worked at and retired from Vance Air Force Base after 40 plus years of service. Jerry also served as a sergeant with the 409th USAR group from Enid, Oklahoma. Jerry was an avid sports fan and always followed his Okeene High School teams and of course, O.U. and O.S.U football and basketball. He bowled for many years on Enid bowling leagues. Jerry loved to dance and participated in Square Dancing Clubs around Northwest Oklahoma. Jerry's favorite pass-time was fishing and he was known as a very good fisherman.
Jerry is survived by one sister, Sara Denning of Bella Vista, AR; one brother, Keith Bierig and wife Donna of North Las Vegas, NV. He is also survived by seven aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, plus many friends.
Services will be 1:00PM Friday, April 1, 2016 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chaple.Pastor Gail Edmison will officiate. Interment will follow in the Bierig Cemetery at Okeene, Oklahoma.
