The Lord called Jerri Dawn Leatherman to her eternal Home December 7th, 2017 in Ponca City, Oklahoma after a courageous fight with cancer. Jerri was born to Dwight and Sue Leatherman on November 3rd, 1968 in Liberal, Kansas. She was raised and attended school in Liberal with her two sisters, Catrina and Brenda. She met and married, Troy Queen, and through this union was blessed with four boys, Brandon, Derek, Michael, and Matthew Queen, whom she devoted her life to. In 2000 Jerri followed her parents to Ponca City so they could spend their free time camping and catching catfish. In 2002 Jerri met her soul mate, the love of her life, Richard “Rich” Rudy. As her love for Rich grew so did her love for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Jerri was a stay at home mom while her boys were younger, and made raising four mischievous boys look easy, she was always up for whatever adventure they could come up with. She was the homeroom mom for many students that attended Southlawn Elementary in Liberal. She was a stand in mom and friend to all of the neighborhood kids and her house was one that most preferred. She entered the workforce when she moved to Ponca City, as a member of management for TTT Convenience Stores, Food Pyramid, and lastly Chapman Shoes. She was never afraid of work and dedicated herself entirely to all of her endeavors.

Jerri cherished her family. She was a confidante for many, a rock to most, and your secrets were always safe with her. She was always up for company and you could guarantee that she and Rich were going to feed you no matter what time of day or night you showed up. When walking into her house you could always bet on a game of Farkle or Wahoo. Jerri’s biggest wish was for peace and that is exactly what you felt in her presence.
