A Celebration of Life Service for Jeromy A. Hicks, age 46 of Grove, OK formerly of Enid will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Enid Mennonite Brethren Church with Dallas Caldwell officiating. Burial will be in the Enid Mennonite Cemetery at 11:00 am. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6:00 - 7:00 pm.

Jeromy was born June 8, 1972 in Enid to Paul A. Hicks, Jr and Iona Cearley Hicks and passed away October 17, 2018 in the Grove Nursing Home after a courageous battle with ALS. He was raised in Enid, where he attended Oklahoma Bible Academy graduating in 1991. He loved playing basketball. Jeromy was selected as an All State Basketball player. He attended and played basketball at Tabor College in Hillsboro, KS and Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. Jeromy attended Emmanuel Baptist Church and Enid Mennonite Brethren Church. Jeromy loved Jesus and listening to contemporary Christian music and reading his bible. Jeromy looked forward to having long intellectual conversations with his friends and family. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Jeromy also enjoyed searching his interests on the internet. He was a truck driver for his step father Randy Morisse Trucking.

He is survived by his mother Iona of Grove, Sister Ashley Hicks of Ft. Worth, TX, Brother Jacob Morisse of OKC, niece Kayla Taylor, nephews, Quinton and Xavier Hicks, and great niece Ava Rose Taylor, and several other family members.

He was preceded in death by his father Paul Hicks, step father Randy Morisse, grandparents Delbert and Geneva Cearley, Paul and Marcella Hicks, and Richard and Barbara Morisse.

Memorials may be made to Compassus Hospice, Vinita, OK with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.

Jeromy battled this horrible disease of ALS since the fall of 2015. He and his family would like to thank everyone who helped with his journey and so he could be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
