The graveside service for B. Jeanne Horrall Luther, a 99-year-old Enid resident will be Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 11:00 AM in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Pastor Ronnie Hopkins will officiate.
Betty Jeanne Horrall was born April 5, 1925, on a farm home place west of town, to Bert and Lorene (Davis) Horrall. She passed from this life on October 16, 2024, in Brookdale Assisted Living. Jeanne attended Glenwood Elementary, Emerson Junior High, and graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1943.
At the age of 20, Jeanne moved to Washington, D.C. to work for the Bureau of Naval Personnel, during World War II. After moving back to Enid, Oklahoma, she married Anton Ruzek in 1949 and of that union, a daughter, Tary was born. Jeanne continued her Civil Service career in1956 with the Consolidated Personnel Office at Vance Air Force Base until 1975. She married Earl Luther and moved to South Africa for two years. After returning from Africa, she rejoined the Civil Service in 1980 for 10 years. Then retiring and finishing her career with the United States Government.
Jeanne was a lifelong member of Central Christian Church and one of the original members of the Sooner Sunday School Class. She was a member of P.E.O., Chapter DB, and a member of NARFE.
She is preceded in death by her parents Bert and Lorene, sister June Smith, and brother Curtis Horrall.
She is survived by her daughter, Tary and son-in-law, Reverend Don Johnson, as well as many loved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorials may be made through Henninger-Hinson funeral home to the Central Christian Church, OETA, Enid Arts Council, or Complete Hospice.
