Funeral service for Jean Bowers-Ford, 84, of Enid, will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Kelly Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the Eddie New Home Cemetery, Lamont, Oklahoma.
Jean was born on October 10, 1931 in Enid to Fredrick “Bud” and Beulah (Lorg) Driever and passed away on November 26, 2016 in Enid.
Jean grew up in Enid and attended Enid Public Schools and Phillips University. Jean was a librarian at Enid Public Library and Phillips University. She enjoyed being a foster grandparent for Enid Public School. Jean was a member of the First Baptist Church. She loved her family, dog, quilting, needle point and cross stitch.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
She is survived by her children and spouses, Barbara and Lanny Goertzen, Doug and Peggy Bowers, Kim and Randy Winfield, and Mark and Lori Bowers, all of Enid; twelve grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Patty Scroggins of California and De Mosher of Florida; other relatives and many friends.
