A funeral service for Jane K. Adams, 77 of Enid, will be Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Central Christian Church with Rev. Dr. Jarrett Banks and Rev. Shannon Speidel officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation with the family present will be Friday evening 5:30 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Jane was born on September 20, 1938 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Guthrie A. and Margaret (Strother) Keel and died on August 16, 2016 in Enid.
She grew up in San Antonio, Texas, where she graduated high school. Jane received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Trinity University in San Antonio. She taught for two years in France and Germany, before returning to San Antonio to teach at Randolph AFB for 15 years. On June 6, 1978, Jane married Paul Adams in Universal City, Texas and they made their home in Enid, Oklahoma. She volunteered at Leonardo’s Discovery Warehouse, was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, the Sooner Sunday School Class and Central Christian Church. Jane served many funeral dinners at the church. She enjoyed crocheting.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
She is survived by her children, John and his wife, Kathy Adams, Arcadia, OK, Lori and her husband, Johnny Myers of Oklahoma City, Phillip Adams and James Adams, both of Enid; seven grandchildren, one great grandchild; and her beloved dog, Ciby.
