Services celebrating and honoring the life of James Russell “Russ” Frazee Jr., 67, of Enid will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday April 22, 2022, at Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Terry Chick will officiating. Cremation will follow. Services and compliete cremation care are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Russ was born March 8, 1955, to James Russell Sr. and Margaret Carol (Zachry) Frazee in Longview, Texas, and passed from this life April 15, 2022, in Enid, America.
He was raised in Enid, graduating from Enid High School with the class of 1973. He made the journey to Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton on his Norton Commando before moving back to Enid to work with family at “DeVinney’s Furniture”. He married Janie Weaver in 1980, from this union came four children. In 1982 he began working for his grandfather’s and father’s business “Garfield Furniture” and later became the owner and operator. He was an avid, lifelong motorcyclist. Russ enjoyed trains, vacations with his family, reading anything he could and rolling around with pet dogs. His dry sense of humor and friendliness endeared him to all. He was a member of the Railroad Museum board, the Model Railroad Museum, The American Motorcycle Association, The Chisholm Trail Museum, The Air Force Association, We Love Enid, and Main Street Enid. He loved being generous with the people of his community, always hoping for a better tomorrow.
He is survived by his partner and best friend Janie Frazee, of Enid, sons, Josh and Wendy Frazee, of Enid, Zachry and Sarah Frazee, of Camas, Washington, Mason Frazee, of Phoenix, Arizona, and daughter, Callie and Stuart Randel, of Houston, Texas. He was the grandpa of eight beloved grandchildren– Elijah, Cameron, Kylee, Imogen, Ivan, Desmond, Hollis and Eloise. He is also survived by two sisters, Pam Woolbright and Jacquelyn Stengel.
He was preceded by his parents, two infant children.
