The Memorial Service for Ray Burgess, age 66, will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Gary Miller officiating.
Ray was born to J.B. and Judith (Spindle) Burgess on June 9, 1950, in Enid, and passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016, in Enid.
Ray grew up in Enid and graduated from Enid High School. He served in the Army National Guard, and then worked at Evergreen for many years. On July 10, 2000, Ray married Janet Travis. He collected knives and enjoyed riding motorcyles. Ray loved his family.
Ray is survived by his wife Janet; children, Donald Burgess and Mike Burgess, both of Enid, Robert Plummer of Yukon, Dorinda Plummer of Enid, and Russell Corley of Tuttle; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters Betty Mongold and Sherry Smith, both of Enid.
He was preceded in death by his brother Jimmy, and sister Debra Crossland.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love.
