A celebration of life service for James D. “Smokey” Burnett, Jr. will be held Tuesday August 25, 2020 at 10:00 AM in the Bible Baptist Church Chapel at 309 N. 11th St. Enid, Oklahoma.
James Burnett was born on January 30, 1947 in Corsicana, Texas to James and Julia Burnett and died peacefully on August 16, 2020.
James was an active member of Bible Baptist Church since October 1972. He served as a Youth Director, Treasurer, choir member and worked in the bus ministry in the service of his Savior.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Shelly Burnett of Enid, a brother Thomas Burnett and wife Anne of Auburn, California. With his first wife Roxanne, he is survived by his son Jarred Burnett, and wife Mariah, and their children Isaiah, Hannah, Ava, and Malachi and his daughter Shea Hicks and husband Lennis and son Ethan all of Enid, Oklahoma.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Julia Burnett and a brother David Burnett.
