The funeral for Iva "Louise" Boyle Hoskins will be 2:00PM Wednesday, October 20, 2021 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Ish Engle officiating. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Iva "Louise" Boyle Hoskins was born June 30, 1924 to Carter Glen Boyle and Ochle Sylvia DuVall at Buffalo, Oklahoma and passed away Friday, October 15, 2021 in Oklahoma City.
Louise attended schools in Ralston and Laverne, OK. She married Willard Evans and they had one daughter, Shirley Faye Evans.
She later married Vernon Lee Hoskins and they settled on a dairy farm in the Lacy community. Two children were born of this union, Vernon Ray Hoskins and Dora Lee Hoskins.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Hennessey where she was active until leaving the community. Louise worked as a beautician for many years until she switched to bookkeeping and worked at the Farmer's Elevator in Hennessey and later at Loomis Furniture in Enid until she retired in 1986.
She is survived by two sisters, Leatha Schulz and Glenda Burdg of Enid; son, Vernon Hoskins and wife, Susie of Shawnee; daughter, Dora Lee Sullins and partner, Donnie Flatt of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Richard Swart and wife, Karen and daughter, Abby of Hennnessey; Aaron Swart and wife, Jan and children, Cole, Macy and Mady of Hennessey; Michael Hoskins of Mustang; Steven Hoskins of Loyal; Billie Joe Hladik of Mustang; LaDonna Marie Hladik and Robert Hladik of Newcastle; Dwayne Hladik of Hennessey as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lois Venable.
Memorials may be made through Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home to First Christian Church of Hennessey or Oklahoma Alzheimer's Research Foundation.
