A memorial service for Irene Blaser Oliver, age 97 will be 2:00 PM, Saturday February 26, 2022, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation and arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.
Irene passed peacefully in her home February 18, 2022. Daughter to Pete and Lula Rose, sibling to Frances McKee, June Murphy, Lucille Rogers, and Gerald Rose.
Irene was a graduate of Garber High School. She was Preceded in death by her husband, WWII purple heart recipient Freddie Blaser. They had four children together, Mike Blaser, Vicki Brown, Vonda, and “Little” Freddie. She later in life married Vernon Oliver. Vernon was known as “Grandpa Oliver” by her nine grandchildren. After retiring from the City of Enid she spent her time making quilts for her friends and family. Irene enjoyed playing cards, camping at the lake, and telling stories to her eleven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Enid SPCA, Hospice, or RSVP.
Following the service, the family and friends will be having a reception at Anderson-Burris Event Center.
