ENID, OK - Hideaway Pizza announced on Tuesday that they would be bringing a restaurant to Enid in 2020. The eatery will be located along W. Garriott in what is now being called "The District" at the corner of Garriott and Cleveland.
-
The location will be where the old fire station sat in the Lahoma Courts area. Hideaway Pizza will join Colton's Steak House & Grill as the two restaurants in the new development. Jiffy Trip and a proposed Apex Cinema are also in the works.
-
Anchored Capital 3 LLC, the development group in charge of The District project, is headed by Enid businessman Kyle Williams. Alex Williams, also of Anchored Capital, said there will be room for another retail establishment and eventually a strip mall.
-
Demolition and clearing of the old Lahoma Courts has begun and should take about 45 days to complete. Utilities and infrastructure work will begin once the land is cleared.
-
Hideaway Pizza’s casual dining concept was created by Richard “The Big Kahuna” Dermer and his wife, Marti, in 1957 near the Oklahoma State University campus in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
-
Hideaway Pizza had successfully grown its footprint to include six restaurants in the Tulsa and Oklahoma City metro areas when Darren Lister and Brett Murphy purchased the company in Feb. 2006. Under their leadership, the company has grown into one of America’s favorite pizza companies, employing approximately 1,000 in two states.
