The funeral services celebrating the life of Hazel Marie Gammon, 90, of Enid, will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday August 10, 2017 in Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Don Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

She was born March 15, 1927 in Spiro, Oklahoma to Amos and Victoria Cusick Schrimsher, and passed from this life on August 6, 2017 in Enid, Oklahoma.

She was raised and educated in Spiro, Oklahoma, and moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas where she met and married Floyd Charles Gammon on August 4, 1946. He preceded her in death on May 3, 2006. They lived in various communities across the United States due to his service in the military. The couple finally moved to Enid in 1953.

She is survived by daughter, Connie (Rick) Campbell, of Enid, sons, Phil (Christy) Gammon of Enid; Chuck Gammon of Mars Hill, North Carolina; Gerald Gammon of Waldorf, Maryland; and Doug Gammon (Marilyn Bell) of Enid, ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, sisters Louise Guvare of Tulsa and Betty Gillenwater of Tempe, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Floyd, her grandson Brandon, 6 brothers, and 4 sisters.

Memorials can be made, in honor of her husband, to the Alzheimer’s Association with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
