MEMPHIS, Tenn. (Nov. 16, 2017) — Groendyke Transport has placed in two divisions of the American Trucking Associations National Truck Safety Contest. Winners were announced Wednesday during the ATA Safety, Security and HR National Conference in Memphis.

In the Over 10 Million Miles category, Groendyke placed second in the Tank Truck/Line-Haul Division. In the Unlimited Miles category, Groendyke placed third in the Tank Truck/Local Division.

The news comes on the heels of several other accolades after an outstanding 2016 for Groendyke, including the company’s record seventh NTTC North American Safety Champion award, or Heil Trophy. The Heil Trophy is awarded annually to the two companies with the nation’s best overall safety record and program. Groendyke won the Harvison Division (more than 15 million miles).

Groendyke also added state fleet safety awards in Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, Arizona and Kansas.
