ENID, OK - Great Plains Bank is donating $2.3 million to the City of Enid, in the form of a discounted sales price of the Bank’s Downtown Enid location.
The bank officially sold the 30,000 square foot building, located at 401 West Broadway, to the city for $2.55 million and has donated $2.3 million back to the city. Great Plains will lease the same location from the city while a new branch building is constructed. “This opportunity is a fabulous one for the City and I appreciate the Bank’s generosity to the community through this large donation to the city,” stated City Manager Jerald Gilbert.
“It was an easy decision to give back to the City of Enid,” remarked Great Plains Bank Division President Doug Parker. “We owe a lot of our growth as a bank to this city and the other communities we serve. We are proud to continue to invest and grow with Enid.”
“Great Plains Bank is committed to investing in the areas where we do business and we take great pride in being part of the communities that we call home,” said Great Plains Bank Market President Holly Bunt. “What better way to demonstrate that commitment then by gifting a building to the City of Enid which carries so much history for this community.”
