A memorial service for Graham “G.E.” Majors, age 79, of Enid, will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
G.E. was on August 6, 1936 and was raised by Clyde and Evelyn Majors. He passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015, following a lengthy illness.
G.E. attended school in San Diego, California. There he met his high school sweetheart, Shirley. They were married October 3, 1955, after G.E. served in the U.S. Marine Corps. G.E. retired from truck driving for 38 years, and he and his wife moved to Enid in 1997.
G.E. worked as a camera man for “Pegasys” and he enjoyed working as a volunteer at St. Mary’s Hospital. But G.E.’s favorite thing was being a member of the National Horseshoe Pitchers Association, pitching horseshoes in the local Enid League. G.E. loved to go fishing and watch NASCAR.
G.E. is survived by his three children; his son, Neal Majors, and daughters, Deanna Majors and Betty Majors-Zarnowitz and Michael; grandson Les Majors; and three great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Logan and Jacob Majors; a brother and a sister.
He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Majors.
