Ginger was born August 15, 1954, to Alfred Leroy and Grace Cordell (Whitaker) Acree in El Reno, Oklahoma and passed from this life May 17, 2022, in Norman, Oklahoma.

She was raised and educated in El Reno until moving to Enid with her family in 1970 and attended Enid schools. As an adult she worked at the Enid State School as a C.N.A. for twenty years until she was medically unable. She married Dennis Brown, from this union came two children, Aaron and Amber. She later married David Howell January 9, 1978 and cared for him until his death in 2009. In 2015 she moved to Woodward to live with her son where she attended church at Bible Baptist Church. In 2021 she moved to Sand Springs to live with her daughter and then moved with her son to Norman in March of 2022. She enjoyed fishing, regardless of if the fish were biting or not, she could sit for hours on the bank. Her dogs were her best friends. She was a cake decorator and had a passion for baking.

She absolutely loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was a genuinely caring person and loved to make others laugh with her sense of humor and Witt.

She is survived by her son Aaron Brown, of the home; daughter Amber (Derrick) Jordon, of Sand Springs; three granddaughters, Crissy (Jimmy) Simpson, Erin Jordon, and Ashanti Jordon; two great grandsons Caleb and Maverick Simpson; one sister Carolyn Williams; numerous nieces and nephews; and her first husband and friend Dennis Brown.
