Gerald Clay Walker

OI2125733424_GeraldWalkerpictureFuneral services for Gerald Clay Walker, 76, Kremlin, will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Stittsworth Memory Chapel with Pastor Ted Kuschel officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the United States Air Force.

Gerald was born on November 20, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Cortez and Esther Herman Walker, and passed away peacefully on March 8, 2016 in Enid. He was raised and educated in Pontiac, Michigan, graduating from high school there. Gerald served in the United States Air Force. He moved to Enid and worked for Luckinbill Mechanical, then worked for Garfield County Sheriff’s Office as a jailer prior to opening his business, Jerry’s Plumbing. Gerald married Carolyn Mae Dunn in Enid on March 15, 1958. They moved to Kremlin in 1996. Gerald was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn of the residence; daughter, Dana and husband Larry Kennedy of Enid; brothers, Raymond Walker of Lake City, Michigan and Eddie Walker of Michigan. Five grandchildren, Candace and husband Marshall Oldham, Chase, Jameson, Chelsea, Josie; great-grandchildren, Oden and Issac.

Gerald was preceded in passing by his parents, sisters, Dorothy Looman and Polly, daughter, Shari Denton, son, Michael Walker and an infant son, Paul Walker. The family has selected Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation,. Diabetes Division, as appropriate for memorial donations with the Stittsworth’s coordinating.
