George was born to Hosie Session, Sr. and Dora Mae (Lamar) Session on September 22, 1955 in Lake Wales, Florida and passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016 in Enid.

George attended school in Lake Wales, Florida and was one of the first high school students integrated into an all-white high school. His senior year he was Student Body President, something for which he was very proud. Following graduation he attended Polk County Community College to study accounting, but before finishing his studies, decided to enlist in the United States Air Force. He trained at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas then was stationed at Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock, Texas where he met his beautiful wife Silvia Montalvo. From there he was stationed at Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa, Japan. After five years he was then stationed at Vance Air Force Base here in Enid, Oklahoma in 1988. Then in 1991, he was stationed at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas where he retired in 1996 after 20 years of service. They then returned back to Enid where they began their new life, post military service.
For the past 20 years he continued doing his same job in flight records at Vance Air Force Base as a civilian.

George loved his family dearly. He enjoyed sports, fishing and not only did he love to eat, but loved to cook just as much. Since the birth of his grandson Oliver, he’s traveled to Europe to visit him, and when back home in Enid he couldn’t wait to “Facetime” with him. He also loved to take his dogs Tinkerbell and Lil Bit for walks regularly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Nathaniel, and half-brother John Henry.

George is survived by his wife of 38 years, Silvia Session, of the home in Enid; two sons, Victor Montalvo and Trae Session, both of Enid; daughter Kelly D’ Ann Hammonds, husband Daniel and son Oliver of Germany; and eight siblings; Sally Mae, Willie, Hosie Junior, Ruby Lee, Lucille, Jo Jo, Evette and Vern.

Memorials in George’s name may be made to Hospice Circle of Love with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
