Funeral services for Genevia Maloney Kitchen, 92, will be Friday, August 28, 2020 at 10:00 am in Anderson-Burris Chapel with Roger Unruh and Scott Maloney officiating. Burial will follow in Hackberry Cemetery, east of Waukomis under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
Genevia was born on October 20, 1927 in Fairmont, Oklahoma to James and Minnie Newton May and died on August 23, 2020 in Enid. On April 6, 1946, she married Bill Maloney in Wellington, Kansas and they made their home in El Reno and later Enid. They had four children. Genevia worked for over 25 years in the dietary department of St. Mary’s Hospital. She later married Dee Kitchen on February 4, 1977 in Enid, where they made their home. Genevia was a longtime member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and volunteered at Our Daily Bread for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bill and Dee; parents; son, Rex Maloney; son-in-law, Ray Unruh; grandson, Josh Plunk; three brothers, Jimmy, Edward, and Willie; two sisters, Bonnie and Mary.
She is survived by her children, Arlene Unruh, Dade Maloney (Jun Ma), all of Enid, Tammie and Bobby Page, of Purcell, daughter-in-law, Anna Maloney of Ponca City; sister, Pearley Martin of Woodward; 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 5 great, great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
