Floyd Dale Crenshaw, 81 years, of Hominy, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 20, 2020 at his long-time residence in Hominy, Oklahoma.

Floyd was born in Booneville, Arkansas on June 7, 1939 to his parents, John Curtis Crenshaw and Virda Lorene (Wilson) Crenshaw. Floyd was married to Phyllis (Alexander) Crenshaw for 58 wonderful years. Floyd and Phyllis had two children that he loved with all his heart, Lisa and Floyd Dale, Jr. Floyd was a businessman who was originally employed by Santa Fe Curran as a master mechanic and then was promoted to superintendent, which he did until he decided to start his own business, Lakeland Pipeline, in 1972. Floyd’s hardworking personality took the family all over the United States to complete jobs near and far. Floyd didn’t believe in taking a day off work because there was always business to get done. He was definitely a “jack of all trades” and he never ran across a problem or piece of equipment that he couldn’t fix. His entrepreneurial mind was always working and thinking of ways to improve life for us all; whether it be a new invention that he patented or a solution for a problem that plagued us constantly. In his free time, Floyd enjoyed spending time with the family at Hominy Lake, where you could always find him grilling steaks and smoking brisket which he loved to share with anyone who crossed his path. Floyd enjoyed working outdoors until his very last days with us.
