ENID, OK - Enid has a city wide ban on the possession, sale and use of fireworks within city limits. State Law says fireworks can only be sold in Oklahoma between June 15 and July 6.
Class C fireworks, such as firecrackers, bottle rockets and exploding devices are prohibited in city limits, but novelty fireworks, such as party poppers and smoke bombs, are permitted.
If you get caught you could be fined up to $500 plus court costs. You can transport them if they stay unopened.
You can set off fireworks outside the city limits if you have permission from the property owner but it is illegal to set off fireworks on county or public roads or near a standing crop.
There will be a free public fireworks display on July 4th at Meadowlake Park.
