Family Loses Home To House Fire

ENID, OK – The Enid Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 229 N. 10th Street this afternoon to find a fully-involved house fire. The call was received at 4:20 pm with first units arriving at 4:26pm. Initial reports from the occupants indicated that the fire originated at an electric clothes dryer, setting the adjacent wall on fire.

A family of seven (2 adults and 5 children) had occupied the home. All family members escaped the fire without injury.

Damage to the structure was extensive with extension from the room of origin throughout most of the structure including the attic.

The American Red Cross was contacted to provide emergency assistance and temporary shelter for the family.

    To the family that lived there I’m here for you and to any of the family members that see this I’m crying right now because of this and because I was sacred that I lost not only my friends but my friends that are like family to me
