Extras! Calling All Extras!!

Video Production Extra’s needed!

Have you ever wondered what it was like to participate in a movie, video or a TV commercial? Have you ever wanted to see you or your family representing Enid in one of those really cool community promotional videos? Well, this could be your lucky break!

Raptor Media Group is filming at various locations throughout 2013 and is looking for individuals and families interested in participating as extras and actors in community events. Most of these parts will not entail speaking or memorizing. Be a part of the production, help promote Enid while you participate in local community activities. Invite your friends, neighbors, and relatives: help Raptor “get the word out” about this fun opportunity.

What exactly is an extra? An extra is a person who fills up the background of a video, film or TV show when the cameras are rolling. Extras are almost never given lines to say, but if they are, they technically become actors while they are saying the lines (examples of extras' lines: "Excuse me," "Over there!" and "Thank you"). Extras are the people who busily walk by on the sidewalk while events are happening, or stand around behind actors that might have speaking parts. It's not all that challenging, but it can be pretty exciting when you see yourself on film.

Raptor Media Group is gathering stock footage to showcase and promote Enid. They want to be sure to capture the Enid culture and that means that they need a mixture of ethnicities and diversity. Get your family involved and do a little community service by being available when needed.

Video and film will not be the only thing they are shooting for. The Raptor crew will also be shooting photography stills for publications and promotions.

What do you have to do?  Simply send an email describing yourself or family: ethnicity, gender, ages to jeff@raptormediagroup.com. When Raptor has a big shoot scheduled, they will send you an email with specifics. Respond to that email if you can “participate” and show up at the appropriate time.

Probably the best reason to help as an extra is it gives you the ability to network with dozens of fellow residents in Enid. If you're an aspiring actor this is a great way to see how video production is filmed, edited and turned into a final product.
