The Enid Public Library invites families to its annual Trick or Treat event on Wednesday, October 30. Starting at 10 a.m., children will get to sit in for a short storytime to get everyone in the Halloween spirit. The Garber Dinner Theater presents "Two Gun Junction" on November 1, 2, 7, 8, 9. Doors open at 6:30, 3 course dinner is served at 7:00, and the performance starts right after dessert. The Mackie Planetarium on the Northern Oklahoma College Enid campus will host the November Planetarium Show on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. November’s show will present the night sky over Enid and show prominent constellations in the winter evening sky. Local groups and organizations will be participating in this years Veterans Day Parade. Parade organizers hope to have cars, motorcycles, floats, bands, horses and vendors. All residents are encouraged to come downtown and help honor our veterans.

Veterans Day Holiday Closings and Schedules
In observance of the Veterans Day holiday, all City of Enid administration offices (including Solid Waste), Enid Animal Welfare, Enid Public Library, and the Recycle Center will be closed Monday, November 11. In addition, the Enid Public Transportation Authority (EPTA) will not be operating on Monday, November 11. The Meadowlake Golf Course will be open from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and the landfill will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, November 11. The regular trash schedule will remain the same for this week.

The BAT (Big Adventure Train) Express is a 1985 5-ton Army truck covered in over 4,000 lights. Tours will go all over downtown Enid. Cost is $5 per person and the truck holds up to 20 people.
