Congressional Redistricting Town Hall

The state Legislature is holding a series of town hall meetings to collect feedback from the public for redrawing Congressional districts. These town hall meetings are free and open to the public. No signup required, and everyone is welcome. These meetings are organized and hosted by the Oklahoma Legislature. Jackson Lahmeyer will be holding a Freedom Rally in Enid, Oklahoma on Sunday, November 21 at 6:00pm. Lahmeyer is a conservative Republican running for U.S. Senate. The rally will take place at the Stride Bank Center, 301 S. Independence. Lahmeyer will be joined by John Bennett, Chairman of the Oklahoma Republican Party, and Roger Stone, former Senior Advisor to President Donald Trump. State of the City Address

Mayor George Pankonin’s State of the City Address is slated for 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2023 in the Stride Bank Center grand ballroom. The theme this year is “Reinvesting in our Future.” The mayor’s address will focus on highlights and accomplishments in 2022 related to community partnerships, improvements in infrastructure, progress in economic development, enhancements in quality of life, and community services. The event is free and open to the public.

Ward 1 Candidate Forum

Enid residents will have an opportunity to hear from both candidates for the Ward 1 Enid City Commission seat plus information on the Enid Public Schools proposed bond issue at an election forum next week. The forum, which will be open to the public and live streamed online, will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at the Stride Bank Center main ballroom, 301 S. Independence. The public forum, designed to educate voters, will be one week ahead of the April 2 local election.

Town Hall Meeting: Affordable Housing

City officials announced that Ward 2 Commissioner Derwin Norwood and Ward Three Commissioner Keith Siragusa will host a town hall meeting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 25th at First Missionary Baptist Church, located at 467 East Owen K. Garriott Road. The Council and the staff will respond to the topics or questions, but no decisions or votes will occur during town hall meeting.
