CSRHC Three-Part Series

A three-part series at the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center (CSRHC) in Enid called “A.M. with the Archivist” begins on Saturday, January 11. Each session will take place from 10-11 a.m. in the museum’s Research Center. In the first session, “Imperialism the 1890s,” CSRHC archivist Aaron Preston will discuss the national shift in American ideology in 1890 while examining how these greater notions affected people in the Cherokee Outlet. First & Third Saturdays, 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (unless otherwise stated) Step back in time and experience life on the Cherokee Strip during History Alive! in the Humphrey Heritage Village. On the first and third Saturday of each month, the historic buildings in the Village come alive with reenactors who are tending their shops, working their trades, or socializing at the Village Church. MLK, Jr. Celebration

Each year the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Commission plans and organizes a comprehensive tribute that promotes diversity, equality, and education consistent with Dr. King's dream, work, and legacy. The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Commission announces the following celebratory events: PRAYER BREAKFAST: Stride Bank Center Ballroom at 8:00am. PROGRAM: The celebratory program begins at 11:30am at the Stride Bank Center Ballroom. MARCH: The march is scheduled for 1:30pm. Those interested in attending should meet outside the Stride Bank Center.  

Town Hall Meeting: Rezone Ward 2

First Missionary Baptist Church 467 East Owen K. Garriott Road, Enid, OK, United States

Ward 2 Commissioner Derwin Norwood will host a town hall meeting at 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24 at First Missionary Baptist Church, located at 467 East Owen K. Garriott Road. He will be discussing affordable, attainable housing ideas and manufactured housing proposals. This is open to all residents of Enid.
