AKA Convention Kite Flying
Richard Dermer Memorial Flying Field Van Buren & Mulberry, Enid, OK, United StatesAKA is holding its 44th National Convention October 9-14, 2023, in Enid. Kite fliers will be flying kites at Richard Dermer Memorial Flying Field, 1201 W Willow, behind Autry Tech. There will be a mass ascension of kites on Tuesday, October 10 around 1:00pm. There will also be professional kite fliers flying kites in the afternoon throughout the week. Take a chair and enjoy the kites. Tri-State Music Festival & Concert

The marching parade is now in the fall during the Field Marching Contest. Tri-State History About eight or ten bands got together for the first Phillips Band Day in 1932. Band Day had drawn bands from Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas for the first event so it was unanimously decided to call the new event Tri-State. In 1933 Enid had its first real Tri-State Band Festival. Tri-State Field Marching Contest
