Red Dirt BBQ & Bacon Bash

The 17th Annual Hanor Smokin’ Red Dirt BBQ Cook-Off is coming back to downtown Enid. This event is a sanctioned Kansas City Barbecue Society state competition, as well as a community celebration.
Join the United Way of Enid and NW Oklahoma and the Hanor family of companies for Bacon Bash, a one-day bacon event in conjunction with the Smokin' Red Dirt BBQ, to be held on Independence St. west of the Stride Bank Center.
Teams of up to six people will prepare their best bacon dishes for ticket holders who will vote for their favorites. The People's Choice vote will count for 20 percent of the judging. The rest comes from a panel of judges.
The winning team received $400 plus a feature in E-Town Magazine courtesy of Hanor. Cash prizes also awarded for second through fifth place.
There will be only 300 tickets sold at $10 each. Ticket holders will be able to taste up to 10 samples and vote for their favorite dishes. Tickets available at the United Way office or at the event.
