Guitar Festival

Guitar Festival at Northwestern set for April 12
The 2024 Guitar Festival sponsored by Northwestern Oklahoma State University Reichenberger Fine Arts Department is Friday, April 12, in Ryerson Hall on the Alva campus.
“The festival was conceived, not as a competition, but as an opportunity for guitarists to perform, receive constructive encouragement and hear other guitarists play,” Max Ridgway, adjunct instructor of music, said. “The festival provides an opportunity for learning guitarists to perform for others in a low-stress, supportive environment.”
Students will perform individually or as members of ensembles between 9 a.m. and noon in Room 200 on the second floor of Ryerson Hall. These performances are open to the public.
