Village Sounds: Gus Burns
August 9 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Village Sounds, a “Museum After Dark” experience at the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center, is a chance to explore our story in Oklahoma from the perspective of different songwriters from our state.
Gus Burns is a singer-songwriter from Caldwell, Kansas, who has cut his teeth from Kansas City down to Texas, but most recently making a name for himself in the Oklahoma music scene. His musical style is one of honest lyrics that come from the heart and relate to his audience, blended with a honky-tonk attitude cultivated from years of playing beer joints and dive bars. With roots in Red Dirt and traditional country, Gus is brining back the classic Americana sound that music fans have been missing and are so captivated by.
The concert is of no extra cost, outside of admission to the Heritage Center.
