Funeral service for Lois Barnes, 94, will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 27, 2018, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Waukomis Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, at the funeral home.

Lois was born November 28, 1923 to Carl and Bertha (Ging) Wyman in Aline. Lois graduated from Enid High School in 1942. On January 1, 1944, she married Roy “Tommy” Barnes, Jr., who was serving in the U.S. Navy. After his discharge in 1945, Tommy and Lois made their home in the Pioneer community, where they farmed until retirement in 1984. Lois loved being a farmer’s wife, a homemaker, a mom, and granny. She was dedicated to her family and to her Lord. Lois passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the age of 94.

She is survived by one son Steve Barnes of Douglas; daughters Janet and Dale Houska of Vernon, Texas, LaDonna and Mike Houts of Stillwater, and Lisa and Greg Haub of Douglas; six grandchildren Brad and Ashley Houska, Matt and Keri Houts, Mark and Beth Houts, Shea Barnes, April (Haub) and Kyle Maly, and Shelby (Haub) and Steven Gregory; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband Tommy Barnes, her parents, and two sisters Christine Campbell and Gladys Hesser.
