ENID, OK - Enid Public Schools Carver Early Childhood Center is celebrating being named an Oklahoma A+ Demonstration School.
-
The honor will be presented by the Oklahoma A+ Schools Institute Thursday, September 5, at 5:00 p.m. at Carver ECC.
-
“This is a great program for professional development that we are happy to provide for our staff,” said Chris Smith, Early Childhood Director. “Not only will this provide more resources for our students and teachers, it will also allow us to better network with other A+ Demonstration Schools in Oklahoma.”
-
To become an A+ Demonstration School, schools must first be a Participation School through the OKA+ Institute. They then submit an evaluation of the A+ program implemented at the school, individualized implementation plan, as well as a creative example. Carver ECC submitted a PowerPoint that had videos of what they are doing in the classroom.

The Oklahoma A+ Schools Institute provides resources to participating schools for professional development, networking and research. As an A+ Demonstration School, Carver ECC will be available to other schools wishing to view the OKA+ program being implemented.
-
Carver ECC is the first EPS school to receive A+ Demonstration School status. Emerson Middle School is a Participation School and Eisenhower Elementary will join the OKA+ Institute as an Implementation School on Monday, September 9.
