ENID, OK - It's time to prepare for the 32nd Annual United Way Chili Cook-Off! They have limited room for contestants so grab your spot before they are all gone. The cook-off this year will be held on Friday, October 25th at the Stride Bank Center from 11am-1pm.

The United Way Chili Cook-off committee came up with a fun idea for the Annual Chili Cook-Off theme “The Wonderful World of Chili”, a take on Disney. Organizations and businesses are encouraged to dress up and decorate their booths to fit the theme. Entry deadline is October 18 or when they fill up. Limited space available.

The entry fee is $50.00 + door prize (please call them to pick up door prize) or $75.00 without door prize. Booth setup begins at 8:00am and the judging takes place at 10:00am. You will serve chili from 11:00am – 1:00pm.

Prizes will be awarded in these categories:
• Judge’s Chili Choice Award
• People’s Chili Choice Award
• Best Decorated Booth Award
• Top Dollar Chili Award
Chili cooks will also be eligible for door prize drawings.

Each group needs to make a minimum 4 gallons of chili. It must be cooked in advance and brought in hot and ready to serve. You may also want to provide cheese, chips or other condiments.

Booth space is first come/first serve unless you’ve reserved additional space for a large item such as a vehicle. Booths are approximately 8’x10’ with 1 large table provided. ROASTERS ARE THE ONLY METHOD OF HEATING ALLOWED BECAUSE THEY USE LESS ENERGY. (No additional electrical appliances are allowed, i.e TVs, radios, crock pots, etc.) You will need to provide an extension cord and/or power strip at least 100 ft, tape to secure your cord to the floor, a long serving spoon, cooking utensils, hot pads, etc.

Top Dollar Chili, which may include your company’s in–house chili fundraiser dollars need to be in a decorative container clearly stating such.
