2nd Annual Enid Scale Modelers Model Show & Make'n Take
“The upcoming Enid Scale Modelers Model Show and Make ‘n Take will happen Saturday, March 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Enid Public Library, 2nd floor east end.
The Model Show is open to all ages and models of all kinds. They are having a special emphasis on WW1 aircraft and vehicles. There is no charge to enter the models or to attend the show. All models will be judged by the public attending the show and award certificates will be presented at 3:30 that afternoon. They will have pro-level modelers from Kansas City, Wichita, Tulsa, Enid and the surrounding area exhibiting some very nice work but, again, everyone is welcome to participate (and attend).
The Make ‘n Take is open to children ages 10 to 14 or so and is also a free event. Participants will have their choice of building a Mustang convertible, a Space Shuttle or an F-117 fighter. They have a total of about 50 models to be built but the selection is on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be two Make ‘n Take sessions, one from 10:30 a.m. till noon and the other from 1:30-3:00 p.m.
Those wanting to build a model must be pre-registered with the library’s Children’s Division and they can see Gloria at the library for further details and to sign up.
