ENID, OK - The Enid Public Library invites families to its annual Trick or Treat event on Wednesday, October 30. Starting at 10 a.m., children will get to sit in for a short storytime to get everyone in the Halloween spirit.
Children are encouraged to wear their favorite costumes as they trick or treat throughout the library, and parents are welcome to join in on the fun by wearing costumes as well. The event will also feature craft activities and snacks for young participants.
“This is a terrific way for young children to experience trick or treating during the day, see friendly costumes, and be surrounded by little friends,” said Children’s Program Coordinator Susan Shewey.
At 10:45 a.m., families will walk to the Garfield County Courthouse, to continue their trick-or-treating throughout the building.
“The courthouse staff members are very gracious in welcoming the children and partnering with the library to provide a fun Halloween experience to Enid’s youngest children,” said Shewey.
This event is designed for children under the age of 5, however, families with elementary-school-aged children who are not in brick-and-mortar schools are welcome to attend. For more information, visit enid.okpls.org or contact the library at (580) 234-6313 or publiclibrary@enid.org.
