ENID, OK - At 11:40 a.m. Wednesday Aug. 3, 2022, Enid and Garfield County 911 Center received multiple calls reporting a collision at U.S. 412 and 42nd Street.
Callers reported the driver of a pickup had driven into the back of a semi.
Enid Police Department, Enid Fire Department and Life EMS personnel responded to the scene. Officers found a tan pickup had struck the rear of a semi.
Eastbound traffic was closed as emergency responders attended to the scene. The road reopened at 3:28 p.m.
The driver of the pickup, Warren Neuerburg, 84, of Newkirk, was pronounced dead at the scene and the state Medical Examiner’s Office was contacted and notified.
The collision remains under investigation.
