ENID, OK - A portrait created by Dawn Muncy of Muncy Photography is being featured on the July 2018 cover of Professional Photographer Magazine, the official international publication of Professional Photographers of America. Titled “Modern Executive”, the portrait of Enid native Jason Maly was one of thousands of award-winning images submitted. “To be chosen from the best of the best is very exciting and still kind of hard to believe”, according to Muncy, who is Northwest Oklahoma’s only Master Photographer. “My biggest challenge was creating the portrait in an Old Masters style and blending it with a contemporary feel that suited my subject” she added.

Muncy is Northwest Oklahoma's only Master Photographer, a designation awarded by the Professional Photographers Association for superior photographic skills demonstrated through competition, advanced education, and service to the industry. Muncy's images exemplify superior portraiture and story-telling via the photographic medium.

Muncy has been a Certified Professional Photographer since 2005. She achieved the Master of Photography degree and the Photographic Craftsman degree in 2013. Muncy has received numerous state, regional and national awards for her photography, including the Lexjet Sunset Award for Portrait of a High School Senior at the Southwest District Competition 2018. Eleven of her images, including the Maly portrait have been featured in the esteemed Professional Photographers of America International Loan Collection.
