HOLLYWOOD, CA - Enid native, Thad Luckinbill, appears to be returning to The Young and the Restless, a soap opera he left in 2010. Luckinbill’s character, J.T. Hellstrom, was confirmed to be returning Friday morning by the official The Young and the Restless in a post on Instagram.

Luckinbill can be heard in the video post saying, “Sometimes after you leave, you realize you’re not done with what you left behind.” The video post also confirms that J.T. will first appear in the Tuesday, Dec. 12 episode.

Not much else has been said about Luckinbill's Young and the Restless return other than he will appear in a handful of episodes. His comeback is expected to last through January, possible going into February.

Luckinbill first joined the show in the summer of August 1999. After leaving in 2010 Luckinbill, his twin brother Trent, and well-known producer Molly Smith started a production company called Black Label Media.

Luckinbill has produced several successful films including his most recent project, Only The Brave, which is currently in theaters. It tells the story of the real-life Granite Mountain Hotshots, a group of elite firefighters who risk everything to protect a small down from a wildfire. Luckinbill can be seen in the film as the character of Scott Norris.

Luckinbill was born on April 24, 1975 in Enid, Oklahoma. His identical twin brother, Trent, is a lawyer in Hollywood. The Luckinbill's parents own Luckinbill, Inc., a commercial HVAC and plumbing service in Enid.
