ENID, Okla. - Congratulations to the 2016 graduating class of Enid High School! You are now part of a long lasting legacy that goes back to 1911 and you'll be a Plainsman for the rest of your life. As a 1981 graduate I remember the day I wore the blue cap and gown like it was yesterday. The world is yours!
-
The 53 year old advice I have for the class of 2016 is as follows:
-
1. Don't be in a hurry to get strapped down. Travel light, often and far.
-
2. Experiment. With life, with love, with school, with work.
-
3. Stay connected. You may never have friends like the ones you had when you were young.
-
4. If at all possible, work for yourself. If you can't, work your way to the top.
-
5. Floss. Exercise. Don't smoke. Take care of your back. Wear sunscreen.
-
6. Don't throw your old toys, comic books and baseball cards away.
-
7. Somebody out there is worse off than you and they know someone worse off than them.
-
8. At 53, 53 does not seem that old.
-
9. Attend your reunions.
-
10. Live a full life. Watch sunrises and sunsets as often as you can.
-
If you missed the celebration or could not hear what was being said, here is a replay of the evening.
-
-
Here are some memories from your 2016 commencement. You're invited to stop by at anytime and take a trip down memory lane.

Thank you Curtis for posting EHS’s graduation ceremony!!! Most of the attendees, unless seated at floor level were unable to hear the speakers. Now, family and friends can celebrate, enjoy the speeches and hear their graduate’s name announced. It makes a world of difference! We are truly appreciative.
