ENID, Okla. - Events are sometimes the best way to bring awareness to a cause. This weekend a large group of volunteers will be bringing awareness to the fight against slavery. Today, an estimated 35 million people are entrapped in slavery. Women and children are most often the victims with no hope or voice. The numbers and the problem can sometimes feel insurmountable.
-
A small group in Enid, Oklahoma may not be able to solve this problem on their own, but when many come together, they can save and completely change the life of that one hurting little girl. And then another, and then another.
-
Enid Fights Slavery is the name of the group and they have three goals in mind. Their first concern is to raise awareness about slavery in the world today. The second goal is to bring Enid and surrounding areas together around one of God's passions. And lastly they want to raise money in order to rescue and restore the oppressed, restrain the oppressors, and reform broken justice systems.

The main event for Spring 2016 is the Enid Fights Slavery Garage Sale. -
The group is accepting donated items of all kinds including baked goods and lemonade for the children's bake sale and lemonade stand.
