ENID, OK - The Enid Community Collaborative is a group dedicated individuals finding resources for the underserved or underinsured. They meet monthly to discuss topics that affect the people of Enid.
-
The group has two drives going on for the April First Friday on April 5 in downtown Enid from 6-9:00pm. Join them out on the courthouse curve by the food trucks and help contribute if you can.
-
Enid Community Collaborative is seeking donations for high protein supplements. One in two older adults are malnourished or at risk of malnutrition when admitted to the hospital. The cost of supplements aren’t covered by insurance and are often more than what our seniors can afford.
-
They will be accepting donations for food with special emphasis on protein supplements, including Ensure, Glucerna, Carnation Instant Breakfast, protein powder and powdered milk. These products will be used to help those recently hospitalized persons in the community with protein calorie malnutrition. The donations are tax deductible.
-
You can also take the donations directly to Loaves and Fishes of NW Oklahoma at 701 E. Main in Enid or call 580-540-9830 for more details.
-
In the second drive, Enid Community Collaborative in collaboration with The Oklahoma Durable Medical Equipment Reuse Program (OKDMERP), are seeking donations for good, used durable medical equipment that can be refurbished and given to Oklahomans in need.
-
They will be accepting donations for CPAPS, BIPAPS, nebulizers, blood pressure monitors, hospital beds, scooters, power wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs, walkers, knee walkers, canes, gait trainers, patient lifts, standers, commodes, shower chairs, and bath benches. The donations are tax deductible.
-
The Non-Profit Center, CDSA at 114 S. Independence is serving as a temporary drop-off site for those not able to participate on April 5th.
