ENID, OK - The Enid Buzz mobile app was launched just under 10 years ago! In all that time the app was installed on over 15,000 devices. The app could originally be found in the Apple App Store and on Google Play.
Enid Buzz will be shutting down the current mobile app this month. But never fear! Within the last 5 years or so, the mobile app has literally become a carbon copy of the Enid Buzz mobile website. With upgraded operating systems it is easier than ever to simply add a quick link to the website from your smartphone home screen.
By having a quick link to the website you'll get immediate updates on articles, news, calendar, jobs, businesses, weather, obits and more. The mobile website actually provides more information about Enid than the mobile app did. Also using the quick link to the website eliminates the need to download the app from the app stores and continuously wait on updates.
Another benefit is that Apple and Google have no control over Enid Buzz being on your device through the app store. In recent years they have begun to ban apps without any recourse on the part of the mobile app owner.
Below are simple instructions for adding the Enid Buzz website link to your home screen on both iPhone and Android devices. This also works on iPads and other such devices.
For Apple devices:
Open up the Safari app on your iOS device.
Navigate to the website that will be your shortcut's destination.
Tap on the "Share" icon at the bottom. This looks like a square with an arrow pointing upwards.
Select the "Add to Home Screen" icon.
Give your Link Button a name.
Tap on the word "Add" in the upper right hand corner.
Look for this link button on your Home screen.
For Android devices:
Launch Chrome for Android and open the website or web page you want to pin to your home screen. Tap the menu button and tap Add to home screen.
