Started by Brady Sidwell and Justin Blasier, Enid Brewing Company is a partnership between farm and foam, grain and glass. The brewery is located at 126 S. Independence at the corner of Maine looking out towards the new hotel.
-
Sidwell is owner of Enterprise Grain Company, Oklahoma’s newest, independent grain company. Justin Blasier is an award winning home brewer and Brewing Specialist for Enterprise Grain Company with a passion for great craft beer and the Enid community.
-
Through Enterprise Grain’s Malt Division, Enid Brewing Co is provided locally grown barley and other grains to make into fantastic craft beer.
-
Blasier has been brewing beer for seven years. "It's been my passion for about that long," he said. The hopeful goal for opening is March 2019 but the realistic goal is to open before the Western Glo downtown hotel is open.
-
The downtown brewery is a craft beer bar and crafts ten of its own beers and has them on tap. They also plan to feature other Oklahoma beers that use the ingredients sourced from Enterprise Grain. Barry Johnston is helping Blasier create and brew the signature beers.
-
Enterprise Grain currently supplies about 12 breweries around Oklahoma with grains and many distilleries with base malt. Sidwell said, "It's really cool to think that in almost every glass of craft beer around the state of Oklahoma there's a little bit of northwest Oklahoma and there's a little bit of Enid."
-
Sidwell believes that they are the only brewery in the country that is integrated from selling the seeds to the farmers, taking the grain in at their elevators, malting that grain and making beer out of it.
-
The duo have created fun brand names for each beer and revealed those online this week. They will also work with companies and organization to create custom named beers for events and parties.
-
The current selection of beer styles includes amber ale, vanilla porter, Hefeweizen, cream ale, IPA, farmhouse ale, pale ale and others.
