Funeral service for Elsie L. Miller, 84 of Enid, will be Friday, June 28, 2024 at 10:00 am in Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tom Legrand officiating. Burial will follow in Waukomis Cemetery.
Elsie was born March 24, 1940, the second twin to G. Scott and Carmelita (York) Negelein and passed away June 23, 2024 in Enid with her family by her side.
She grew up in Pawnee and graduated from Pawnee High School. Elsie married and had two children. After their divorce, she moved to Stillwater and worked in a couple of dry cleaners. Elsie married Doyle Miller on April 4, 1975 in Stillwater and made their home in Enid. She worked for many years at Adair Cleaners. Elsie was a member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling to the Colorado Mountains. Elsie loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two sisters, Helen Surber and Katherine Denny; one brother, Jerry Negelein.
Elsie is survived by children, Tommy Bryant and Rhonda Powell; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren; brothers, Walter, Melvin and Kenneth Negelein; sisters, Mary Ann Vandever, twin, Eleanor Miller, Wilma Howerton, Bonnie Rathbun, Linda Negelein and Shirley Negelein; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
