We all rent electricity year after year and Oklahoma electricity prices are climbing at an alarming rate. Solar energy is an opportunity to basically own your own electric company and see your electric bill significantly reduced. The tax benefits are encouraging. The government gives a 30% tax credit on residential and commercial systems and a 30% direct payment back to non-profits.

Commercial installs receive 84% accelerated depreciation in year one. This equates to an additional 30% tax deduction. The tax advantages are tremendous.

It takes the suns’ rays eight minutes and twenty-seconds to reach the earth. The sun is our greatest resource for clean energy. Gilbow previously worked with owner, Tony Capucille, as Tony was the President of a publicly traded company-Heartland Payment Systems. Tony started Eight Twenty Solar after bad and unethical experiences trying to get solar for his home and lake home. Their goal is to provide clarity as to how solar works and to show the tremendous value of solar energy to those interested. All he needs is an electric bill showing current months rate and last 12 months kilowatt usage to get going on a proposal.
