ENID, OK - The men of the Enid High School Concert Choir have been selected to perform at the Oklahoma Music Educators Association (OkMEA) statewide conference in January.

EHS choir directors Matthew Johnson and Randy Johnson will take their select performers to the conference after submitting the choir for consideration among statewide submissions.

The choir will perform on January 17 at the Holy Family Cathedral in Tulsa.

“We are thrilled to be selected to perform at the most prestigious and highly attended conference OkMEA holds annually,” said Randy Johnson, head choir director at EHS. “Our students work very hard to leave it all on the stage and it show with every performance they give. We are very proud of all of the hard work they put in to earn this honor.”

The EHS choir program earned many accolades in the 2018-19 school year including OSSAA State Contest Outstanding Achievement Award, OSSAA Distinguished Academic Achievement Award, and OSSAA State Vocal Contest Superior Sight Reading.

Doug Stafford, Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education, applauded the choir program for their commitment to making the program a state-wide competitor.
