Dorothy Jean Geis (Keltch)

Wednesday, April 25th, 1934 - Monday, January 8th, 2024

Dorothy Geis, of Enid Oklahoma, passed into the loving arms of Jesus, on January 8, 2024, at
the age of 89. She was born in Alva, Oklahoma to her parents Tom and Hazel Keltch.

She graduated from Cherokee High School where she met her husband, Warren Geis. Their
69-year journey together involved over 46 moves spanning Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, and
Indiana in support of her husband's career. She bloomed with every move, creating a beautiful
home for her family with her unique gifts as an artist, antique collector, and her eye for design.

In 1972 she graduated as a Licensed Vocational Nurse and touched many lives in that
profession. She was a current member of the D.A.R. Dorothy was active in the fellowships of
many Baptist Churches, serving with various ministries.

As her children, we pay tribute to her sacrifices on our behalf, her positive outlook with every
challenge, her joyful smile, and laugh. She interceded in prayer for each of us and our families.
Her love and grateful heart motivated her to share her faith in Christ openly. Her love and gift for
music filled our childhoods and blessed our going forth. She was our great encourager!

Dorothy is survived by her children; Greg Geis and wife Linda; daughters, Barbara Kizer and
husband Randy, Doren Osborn and husband Buck; eleven grandchildren; eighteen
great-grandchildren, her sister-in-law, Gladys Nokes, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Geis, a daughter, Christa Creach, a
granddaughter, Jessica, her parents, and three siblings.

A memorial will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024, 1 pm at the Baptist Village Chapel.
A graveside service will be held at the Cherokee, OK cemetery on Thursday, January 11 at 3:00
pm.

The family wishes to thank the dedicated caregivers of Baptist Village and Traditions Hospice
