Doran Wesley Baugus, age 59, of Blackwell, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, Dec. 2, 2016.
Doran was born to Billie Dean Baugus and Elizabeth Annabelle (Sledge) Baugus on Aug 4, 1957. He grew up in Blackwell, attending Blackwell schools his entire life and graduated Blackwell High School in 1975. He had many hobbies, including fishing, noodling with friends, gardening, but his main hobby was arrowhead hunting. He spent many, many hours walking fields and up and down the river as often as he could. He also enjoyed cruising around town with his beloved dog Shade in the back of his truck. At the time of his passing, he was employed as a heat frost insulator for Union Local 94, and was a member of Union Local 64 for 20 years prior.
Doran is survived by his wife of 40 years, Bunny Baugus. One son, Toby Baugus of Blackwell and one granddaughter, Kendyl Baugus of Ponca City, Ok. One half-brother, Billie Pryor Baugus. And Many nieces and nephews, as well as, numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Tammie Baugus Curtis and two half brothers, Larry and Gary Skinner.
